Building Development

LUCHA builds and rehabs housing for low- to moderate-income families and individuals. It takes dilapidated buildings and empty lots and turn them into decent, safe, and well managed affordable apartments, making the area more attractive to local community residents. LUCHA is currently pursuing the rehabilitation of 47 affordable rental apartments in West Town, in addition to the proposed development of affordable housing including 30 new units in Humboldt Park known as Communities United for Affordable Housing (CUFAH).
